About Sanitaste

Hi, I'm Casey. Sanitaste is where I share the food we actually cook at home, written up the way I'd explain it to a friend standing in the kitchen.

Every recipe on this site has been made in my kitchen, and every photo is of the dish I made. If something went wrong along the way, I'll tell you, so you don't make the same mistake.

Where the recipes come from

Some are weeknight dinners that have been on repeat for years. Others came home with us from our travels, like the pesto my wife and I learned to make at a cooking class in Monterosso, in the Cinque Terre, right in the part of Italy where pesto comes from.

How the site works

Most dinners are a few dishes cooked together, so each part gets its own recipe, and our full meals pull them together with one shopping list and a plan for timing everything.
